E TALON EDF DEVELOPMENT
INTRODUCTION
Here is another large creation coming to life.

Instead of doing another glow to EDF conversion, I decided to design a plane for EDF in the beginning, to fit the twin motor HW750 fan and carry the batteries (40 to 60 cells). Sure it looks like a Century Jets Talon. But it is actually a combination of Bobcat, Bandit, and alot of Talon. The plane has 864 sq inches of wing area. The big thing I wanted to do was eliminate alot of duct work. The intake duct will be very simple and easy to make.

The Plane sizing is about 85% the size of the Century Jets Talon. Wingspan 60", Fuselage length 67" Retracts Spring Air 301s.

Current set up for this monster is:

  • HW750 Dual motor set up
  • Lehner 2230 16 wind kv1233 motors
  • Future 32-80F ESCs
  • Batteries 2 8S4P 8200ma Thunderpower packs
  • Amp draw 53 amps per motor 3137 total system watts.
  • AUW 14.5 lbs.

This clip will show the half runway take off and a few high speed passes. Landing not shown camera operator got too disoriented trying to follow this plane.
